The Folkestone Documentary festival returns for three days in 2022 with an opening night party, twelve screenings, industry Q&As, masterclasses, guest programmers, and a community meal.
Taking place across the Quarterhouse and the Silver Screen Cinema, the festival celebrates documentary in all its forms, from art to social issues to just great stories, with community collaborations at the heart of programming.
Tickets are available for individual events, or you can take advantage of the Documentary Festival Pass which gives you access to all festival events at a much-reduced price.

Your Festival Pass entitles you to book one ticket per event. It can be used to book tickets for events at the Quarterhouse straight away, but must be activated on our website before it can be used to book events at our cinema. You can activate it by following the instructions in your activation email, which you should receive within 24 hours of purchase.

After you log in and activate your pass, you will then be able to book one free ticket to each festival event at our cinema. Your tickets will be discounted to £0.00 once you log in and reach the checkout.
For events at the Quarterhouse, you can use your pass immediately after purchase by logging in to the Creative Folkestone website. Your tickets will be discounted to £0.00 once you reach the checkout.

During the activation process, you will need to enter the code from your activation email and create an account on our website (if you do not already have one) using your email address.

Yes, but tickets are subject to availability and your festival pass does not guarantee you entry to an event if it has sold out by the time doors open. We recommend you use your festival pass to book your ticket in advance to ensure you have a seat when you arrive.
No. Booking fees are not applied when you use your festival pass, which means that the cost of your pass is the only amount you will pay for all festival events.
