In late 1944, a German soldier haunted by memories of his family takes refuge for one night in an old Napoleonic fort with three comrades, but finds there is no rest from war.
Written and directed by Leicestershire-based Douglas Cubin, The Fort is an examination of the mental anguish on Corporal Kohl who is haunted by the memories of the family he abandoned, memories which have now been deformed into nightmares by the Fort. This is Doug’s first feature film after successfully taking his first short film Finding Richard starring Colin Baker to Cannes where it was selected for the Short Film Corner.
