Enys Men

Folkestone Documentary Festival / Folkestone Doc Club presents

Enys Men + 2 Shorts by Mark Jenkin

Folkestone Documentary Festival / Doc Club presents a special screening of Enys Men + two shorts by director Mark Jenkin on 2nd May.

Shot on 16mm, ENYS MEN is a mind-bending Cornish folk horror set in 1973 that unfolds on an uninhabited island off the Cornish coast. This special event includes two short films by director Mark Jenkin, and is followed by a recorded Q&A with the director.

VERTICAL SHAPES IN A HORIZONTAL LANDSCAPE (Certificate 12A / 5 mins) – As two artists battle the inclement Cornish weather they discuss Derek Jarman, the golden light and the magic of the craggy coastline.

AN AIR THAT KILLS (Certificate 12A / 9 mins) – The past only exists from the perspective of the present, and the present itself quickly becomes the past. It is lost to the wind.

This event is brought to you at the Silver Screen Cinema by the Folkestone Documentary Festival & Folkestone Doc Club team.
